information about us

Exmoor House is the perfect place to escape to, with great food and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. A VERY special place to stay in the heart of the Exmoor National Park.

At Exmoor House the emphasis is on excellent food, all home-made using good local ingredients.

Dinner bed and breakfast breaks are a speciality. The evening menu changes daily and dietary needs are well catered for - just discuss your preferences at the time of booking.

Non-residents are also very welcome to enjoy dinner here (reservations are essential).

Exmoor House once contained a tailor’s shop (now the guest dining room) and village reading room (now the guest sitting room), where you can enjoy a drink from the bar and relax in front of the log fire. Outside, there's a terrace garden.

The house is full of quirky character, with wood panelling making it feel cosy and homely. All the bedrooms are of course en-suite - most can be either double or twin-bedded and one of them is a family room.

Exmoor House is in Exmoor’s highest village, near Dunkery Beacon, Dunster, Exford and many other interesting places - a wonderful location for exploring this beautiful area. Walk, cycle or just take it easy!

And if you have something to celebrate, how about a house party? You can reserve exclusive use of the house for a group of 10 - 12 people, with menus tailored especially for you.
