information about us

Dairy Cottage nestles above the beautiful valley of the River Barle, at Draydon Farm, close to Exmoor’s iconic Tarr Steps.

This single bedroom barn conversion is light, airy and spacious, with wonderful views across the valley. Red Deer are regular visitors, and the woodlands are a haven for wildlife including, the otters in the River Barle.

The cottage provides comfortable, affordable accommodation for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts and is well equipped with maps and walking books.

Just to the north of the cottage, will be found the Exmoor Pony Centre, where you can book a trek across the moor on this ancient rare breed. Or if you prefer watersports, you will be spoilt for choice at nearby Wimbleball Lake.

If you carry on up the lane outside, you are straight on to the open moor of Exmoor.

Dulverton, the southern gateway to Exmoor, is just two miles away. It is a lively town of winding, medieval streets crammed with attractive buildings and interesting shops, galleries and inviting little cafes and inns.
